Thom Pierce has been documenting herders and commuters who travel through the mountain villages in Semonkong, Lesotho. Many of the villages have no electricity or mains water and it can take up to four hours to reach the nearest town, a journey mostly made on horseback.

Fresh off the kitchen!!!!!!
We are very excited to introduce you to khupi, a new range of wooden bow and bolo ties fresh out of our designer room. Look out for them soon in some of our next updates. "Khupi" is a Sesotho word for locust. The name was inspired by the interesting characteristics of the insect and the rich metaphors in the Sesotho language associated with it. We also think it comes from a family of artists with crickets that make awesome chirping music here in Lesotho at night and after it rains. And mARTaramputana is all about and gets inspired by all forms of art. KHUPI. Lookout for it!!!!! #design#passion#wood#bowties#ties#insects#locust#crickets#art#inspired#nature#next#lesotho#entrepreneur#khupi#mARTaramputana
